Desperate For A Nokia 2660?
The Nokia 2660 is a new flip phone that Nokia has released. Nothing really great or different about this one, but it's still a pretty good phone. It does the necessities when it comes to a phone. It was announced and released May of 2007. The Nokia 2660 phone has vibration and can also download MP3 ringtones. It also comes with a pretty good quality speakerphone and phonebook. The call record on the Nokia 2660 displays 20 dialed calls, 20 received calls and 20 missed calls. There isn't a memory card slot on this mobile phone and it comes with 2MB worth of free storage already on the phone. It is Bluetooth compatible and USB compatible. Having a USB for a phone makes it easier to transfer data from and to your mobile phone.
Different methods of messaging can be done on the Nokia 2660, like SMS, MMS, email and instant messaging. Accessing the internet can also be done on this mobile phone. Quality may not be excellent or great, but accessing the internet can be done on the Nokia 2660. Something special to me about the Nokia 2660 is the fact that it can excess the radio. It can only excess FM radio and AM. That’s a very original feature on this phone that other phones can not do, that really caught my attention. The Nokia 2660 also has games and are also downloadable with this cellular phone. Java apps also can be accessed with the Nokia 2660. One of the apps already on the phone is the video player.
The battery life has a pretty normal life span. Not very good but not that bad either, just the normal 3 bar battery life like other flip phones. At full battery the Nokia 2660 can last 310 hours of just standby time. Meaning without really using the phone, but with it being on, it will not die for 310 hours. That’s pretty long considering the fact if you’re going on a trip or vacation somewhere. As I mention recently the battery life isn't very good thou, and you will witness that when you see how fast the battery die when you talk on it. With a full battery the phone has about 7 hours of talk time on it before the phone will actually die.
In some opinions this is not a good phone at all. One thing critics say about the phone is the lack of memory that the phone lacks. After downloading a decent amount of material, you will notice how fast the Nokia 2660 amount of storage space diminishes. Having a phone with a lot of extra storage memory is important in today’s society, and the Nokia 2660 just does not meet those standards. Another down fall of this mobile phone is that it doesn’t contain a camera. Cameras are very common in today’s time and evolution of cellular phones, and once again the Nokia 2660 does not meet those standards. Not having a camera and not having a good sufficient amount of memory on this phone is the two main down falls.
The positive side of this phone is that it's very light and small. Having a light phone is good in today’s time. Nobody really likes the big bulky phones that were popular about 5 to 10 years ago. The Nokia 2660 has a very comfortable text pad. Not really a great feature but in my opinion that is still important. It eliminates the thought of having a cheap phone to me. Standby battery life is also a great feature on this phone. Standby battery life is the most important positive feature on this phone to me. Having a good battery life makes you feel a little bit safer in emergency situations.
